Overview
The mara is an area of preserved Savannah Wilderness located in southwestern Kenya. The main attraction is the Wildebeest migration that traverse the lands during their annual migration. They cross the Mara and Talek rivers a sight that has been an attraction to many. The mara is also home to the big five and has rugged landscapes that are good for safaris and adventure.
Tour Highlights
- Game drives: The camp offers morning and afternoon game drives, both of which are led by knowledgeable guides with in-depth knowledge of the species and habitat of the Masai Mara National Reserve. The Big Five (lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and rhinoceroses) as well as many other well-known African creatures, including cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeest, are available for visitors to witness.
- Nature walks that are guided: Visitors are welcome to go on nature walks around the camp that are led by knowledgeable guides who can provide them information about the local flora and animals.
- Safaris in a hot air balloon: Visitors can experience a hot air balloon safari above the Masai Mara National Reserve, providing a singular and breathtaking perspective of the reserve’s wildlife and landscape.
- Wildebeest migration: Enkorok Mara Camp is well situated next to the Mara River, where thousands of wildebeest and other animals migrate during their yearly migration, creating a singular and spectacular wildlife spectacle.
- Sundowners: After a full day of safari activities, visitors can unwind and have a sundowner at the camp’s bar or by the campfire.
- Bush dinners: Guests can partake in a traditional African bush meal given in a gorgeous setting within the Masai Mara National Reserve beneath the stars.
