Overview
The local Pokot community started the Kaptuya Conservancy as a conservation effort to safeguard the local animals and natural resources. Through eco-tourism and wildlife management, the conservancy seeks to advance biodiversity preservation, community growth, and sustainable livelihoods.ies.
Tour Highlights
- Wildlife: Several different antelope species, as well as elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and hyenas, can be found inside the conservancy. The conservancy’s activities are concentrated on defending these species and their habitats against challenges including habitat deterioration and poaching.
