Overview

Mount Kenya, which rises 5,199 meters (17,057 feet) above sea level, is the tallest mountain in Kenya and the second-highest peak in all of Africa. Located in central Kenya, 150 kilometers (93 miles) northeast of Nairobi, it is an extinct volcano that arose millions of years ago.
Today, Mount Kenya is a well-liked travel destination for hikers and climbers from all over the world who travel there to take in its breathtaking beauty and varied animals. A national park that encircles the mountain is home to many different species of animals, including elephants, buffalo, and several monkeys.
